This Litha we have a powerful chance to celebrate both the sun and the earth as their energies will reach a peaking point. The Earth is in full bloom and the the Sun God is his strongest. You may sense that divine masculine energy is at a high. Our full moon was just in Sagittarius which also united earth and fire energies. This is a powerful time to connect with fire (south) and earth (north).
As the sun reaches his highest point, we will experience the longest day and shortest night of the year. As the light overpowers the dark, this is a good time to do your shadow work. The sun supports us as we look at our shadows and do the tough work within.
Many witches will turn to fire magic to honour the sun on this solstice. Fire magic can include candle spells, smudging ceremonies and jumping the cauldron! As the earth is in full bloom, take this time to connect with plant medicine as their energies are at an all time high. Go foraging, explore herbs at the health food store and make your own herbal teas!
